Accent Reduction Classes

12 week Compton P-ESL Training (Pronouncing English as a Second Language)

Accent Reduction training does not take away an accent. It enables the accented speaker to be more clearly understood in English. The goal in Accent Reduction training is to be understood the first time.

What sets us apart? Features unique to the Underwood Accent Reduction course:

Free Lifetime Online Practice Program included with the course

Clients receive a customized Lifetime Online Practice Program that they will use to practice English correctly. The client is given weekly online assignments that target the client’s specific error patterns.  The Lifetime Online Practice Program belongs to the client after their class is completed.

Online Speech Evaluation:

The online speech evaluation generates computer reports that calculate the speaker’s errors in English at the word, sentence, reading and conversational levels.

Weekly One on One Instruction

The client receives 12 individual, one hour classes with a certified Compton P-ESL instructor.    Daily practice is an expectation to achieve a 50% reduction of an accent.

Speech Coaching

The instructor receives an email from Compton P-ESL every time the client has practiced their weekly assignments using their Online Practice Program. The instructor can listen to recordings of the client’s daily practice and offer additional coaching through emails.

Percent of Improvement

The post speech evaluation computer report will give the client their percent of improvement in Pronouncing English As A Second language.  The client may choose to share these reports with their boss or manager.

Certificate of Completion

The client will receive a Certificate of Completion from Compton P-ESL.

Course Evaluation

The Client will be given a P-ESL Course Evaluation form to complete and mail to Underwood Accent Reduction, LLC.  If the client’s company has paid for the training, the client’s manager will also receive a Course Evaluation form.
